St.Patrick's festival

Saint Patrick is the patron of all saints of Ireland, and he is greatly admired by Irish people. So no wonder that on 17 March - Day of St.Patrick whole Emerald Isle celebrates this date with a big noise. Generally, it takes a whole week to celebrate Irish favourite holiday as the planners of this event give an opportunity to have fun for everyone - concerts, games, competitions, fireworks and attractions for children... People from many countries hurry to visit Ireland in these days as they know that will see a lot of interesting events, and Parade along city center is the most outstanding and colourful show. Hundreds of people take part in the Parade (not to mention all festival's staff), and hundreds of costumes are being suw; ten of huge figures are being made from a fabric, wood and plastic... It is a really difficult task to describe all the beauty of Parade. I advise you to come and see it with your own eyes!

Festival of world cultures

The Festival of World Cultures is a Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Event and takes part in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin. This is a big programme that contains performances of groups from the whole world, live music at outdoor stages, workshops and exhibitions, films and talks, fairs and markets. This year the event will be celebrated on 27 - 29 August, the three days of fun! According to the organizers, you can see over 100 events in 30 venues. Some events require tickets that have to be paid for but a lot of shows are free. Timetable of the Festival is printed in thousands of leaflets so everyone who wishes to enjoy this event can come and see a particular performance tn the specified time. I'll definitely go there:-)
